Ranger Improves Busy Route South Of Lake
Okeechobee
(1st/2nd Quarter 2009)
From 18-wheelers hauling goods
across Florida to fishermen angling for
the catch-of-the-day, just about everyone driving around the
southern end of Lake Okeechobee makes use of US-27/
SR-25.
This busy stretch of pavement near South Bay is getting an
overhaul, with Ranger Construction performing one of several
projects underway. Ranger Central crews are rebuilding the roadway
near an upgraded Miami Canal bridge and are milling and
resurfacing more than 12 miles of asphalt leading up to the
bridge.
In other Palm Beach County work, Ranger is widening and
resurfacing sections of Okeechobee Boulevard, Beeline Highway and
Alternate A1A, and is extending Hypoluxo Boulevard westward over
Florida’s Turnpike, among other projects.
Also underway, Ranger is resurfacing nearly four miles of US-1 in
St. Lucie County, widening two miles of SR-60 in Indian River
County, and repaving stretches of SR-A1A and SR-513 in Brevard
County, in addition to numerous other projects for the public and
private sectors.
