Ranger
Construction — South recently
picked up three prime
contracts with Florida’s
Department of Transportation
(DOT) for improvements to
SR-9.
A major
thoroughfare in South Florida,
SR-9 is better known as I-95
in Broward County, while in
Miami-Dade it becomes NW 27th
Ave.
Ranger
South is milling and
resurfacing two sections of
I-95 under a $5.18 million
contract covering 2.8 miles,
and a $8.5 million contract
for another 4.1 miles.
Ranger
South is also milling and
resurfacing 2.3 miles of NW
27th Ave. on a $3.74 million
project awarded in February.
That contract includes
lighting and signalization,
and allows 280 calendar days
for completion.
“It’s
been a real team effort,” said
Estimator Jerry Hoffman of the
division’s success in landing
prime contracts with the DOT.
The new
work adds to three existing
DOT jobs Ranger South has
underway. The three projects,
all located in Broward County,
involve improvements to SR-845
(Powerline Rd.), SR-817
(University Dr.), and SR-822
(Sheridan Street).
