Ranger South Developing Mixed-Use, Commercial Sites
(1st/2nd Quarter 2006)

Members of a Ranger South grading crew near completion at a Whispering Woods site development job in Coconut Creek, FL. The crew includes Loader Operator Doroteo Batres (above), Jacky Guerrier (on Grader, below) and Dufrenne Deus (Roller Operator, at bottom). The contract called for complete site development services, including asphalt pavement.

Ranger South is busy with a number of site development projects, including the Downtown Davie project, a mixed-use development in Davie. Ranger will excavate a retention pond, develop building pads, install underground utilities and drainage pipes, and pave the roadways and sidewalks.

In Sunrise, work includes a 17,500 sq. yd. parking lot that will include extensive concrete curb and gutter work for the Sawgrass Landings commercial center. And in Miramar, Ranger is installing underground utilities and constructing an access road to link an existing shopping complex with its next phases of development.

In other news, Safety Director Mike Scarborough is working to reduce accidents by teaching the Smith System to Ranger South employees. By year’s end, over 100 employees will learn the Smith System’s “keys” to safe driving. Depending on the results, the training may be rolled out to all offices.
